Opening it
Intercom menu → Nets near you, or PKT → Nets near you. The page refreshes every minute while it is open.
On the air near you
Two sources. NetLogger, the program many net controls log their nets with, publishes the nets in session: SignalDeck shows the ones whose frequency is one of your channels (or whose DMR talkgroup is on one of your DMR channels), with net control, how many follow it and when it started. Tap one to tune the channel, or to see who has checked in (callsign, name and state only). And the radio itself: a long run of transmissions from several stations on one channel (20 minutes, a dozen transmissions) shows as "Sounds like a net", named when the captions catch "this is the … net". Weather and other receive-only channels are left out.
Coming up
Nets that come back, soonest first: the ones you added, the ones NetLogger logged on your frequencies in the last week (weekly, or daily when held on four or more days), and the ones the radio heard on the same channel at the same time on the same weekday two weeks running (or three days in a row). Tap one to tune; long-press for more.
Adding a net
Add a net to a channel (bottom of the page), or in the channel editor under Nets on this channel (each net is stored with its channel, so it follows the channel when it is renumbered, backed up or shared): a name, the channel, the days, the start time, how long it runs and notes such as net control or how to check in. It shows in Coming up, gets the reminder, and tapping it tunes the channel. Long-press a net you added to edit or delete it. Long-press a net found by NetLogger or by the radio and Add it as my net to keep it with your own name and days.
Near you or not
NetLogger gives a frequency, not a place, and many towns share one. SignalDeck keeps a net in the main lists when it is near you (a state in its name or in the logger's details is yours, the repeater's callsign is net control's, or the repeater's town is in its name) or when it is on one of your own channels and nothing points elsewhere. The rest go under Same frequency, maybe elsewhere: a net only sharing a nearby repeater's frequency, or one whose name, state or net control's call district points to another area. Long-press any net to say it is near you or not; SignalDeck remembers your answer. Your state comes from your position (Android's geocoder) and stays on the phone.
Reminders
Remind me: a notification 10 minutes before each net in Coming up. Tell me when a net starts: a notification when a NetLogger net opens on your channels (checked every 5 minutes). Both are off until you turn them on; tapping the notification opens this page. NetLogger is asked at most once a minute, as it requests.
Elsewhere on the air
The other nets in session on 2 m, 70 cm and DMR talkgroups, for interest; a DMR talkgroup net can be heard by adding its talkgroup to a DMR channel's receive list. Tap one for its check-ins.
